Have you seen the movies "Vacany" and "Preminitions" and if so, are they worth watching on DVD?

Preminitions looks kinda confusing judging by its trailers. Is it? Is Vacany to gory to watch with my 65 year old Mom? On a 1-10 scale, what would you rate each movie? Thanks. I rented them on Netflix and I'm debating on just returning them.
