How do i install an aftermarket cd player in a 2000 chrysler t&c limited?

It has the infinity sound system. when i took out the old one and installed the new one it wouldnt turn on and all the wires are hooked up but there is still a tiny clip with 2 wires on it not attached and theres no where to go with them but when i connect them together my abs light goes on and my obometer goes on and off and also when i turn on the accesorys nothing works not the power door locks or the horn and the car alarm wont arm and thats all from taking out the stock cd player! Did i trip something? has anyone else had these problems please help. oh and i also tried putting the old one back in and it illuminates but wont actually play anything and also unhooked the battery too
