My boyfriend's religion is something i am unfamiliar with...?

my boyfriend recently told me about his religion and its just something im so totally unfamiliar with. we do plan to get married one day and have kids.i was wondering how this will affect us. im catholic and he is with circle 7. has anyone ever heard of this or is practicing the same belief? i need enlightenment..
