Why are there so many Brits on American TV?

like Sharon Osbourne, Kat Deely, Piers Morgan, Simon Cowell? Isn't it a little odd that Larry King was replaced with a Brit? I admit, it's interesting to see his perspective at times, but sometimes he seems pretty clueless about American culture.
